Celebrate Iowa farm heritage with this 1/16 John Deere 4230 front-wheel-assist tractor, Iowa State Fair Edition. The commemorative event identity adds collector appeal to the recognizable Generation II Deere design. With its front-drive axle and substantial 1/16 scale, this tractor makes an excellent addition to a display of 1970s equipment or a collection of state-fair releases.
John Deere built the 4230 during the 1970s as part of its Generation II row-crop tractor lineup. The 4230 offered six-cylinder diesel power and was used for cultivation, planting, mowing, hauling and other everyday field tasks. Generation II tractors were recognized for their improved operator environment and the availability of the Sound-Gard cab. Front-wheel-assist configurations improved traction and handling when conditions were demanding. The Iowa State Fair designation is a commemorative scale-model association, celebrating the agricultural heritage of the region.
