Add the 1/16 John Deere Patio Series Model 140 Red Ertl to your collection and showcase a distinctive piece of John Deere equipment history. This 1/16 scale collectible highlights the proportions, working-machine character, and recognizable design of the John Deere Patio Series Model 140 Red Ertl. From the engine hood and operator station to the axle layout and agricultural tires, its details make it a natural fit for a carefully arranged vintage or modern farm display. Produced by Ertl, this model rewards close inspection and looks especially effective displayed beside complementary equipment in the same scale. The edition, color, or configuration identified in the title gives this example an individual character that collectors can appreciate. Whether you collect John Deere machines, show releases, or hard-to-find farm and construction toys, this is a memorable addition to a focused collection.
Full-size John Deere agricultural tractors were designed to turn engine power into dependable field performance, whether pulling tillage equipment, planting crops, hauling wagons, or powering implements through a PTO. Their suitability depended on engine output, transmission gearing, ballast, and the tires or tracks selected for local soil conditions. The John Deere Patio Series Model 140 Red Ertl configuration illustrates how tractor makers adapted machines for specific work. Operators valued usable low-speed torque, predictable steering, hydraulic implement control, and serviceable mechanical components. As farms expanded and implements grew wider, equipment evolved toward greater traction, safer operator platforms, and improved cab comfort.
