Honor a memorable farm show release with this 1/8 International 856 Tractor with Narrow Front, 1999 Farm Progress Show Signed Edition by Scale Models. The large 1/8 scale captures the distinctive International 856 hood, operator platform and tricycle-style front end in a format made for display. Its signed Farm Progress Show association gives the model extra collector interest beyond a standard production replica. An impressive addition to collections focused on late-1960s IH tractors and agricultural show memorabilia.
International Harvester manufactured the 856 from 1967 through 1971. The tractor was available with powerful six-cylinder engines and became a respected choice for demanding tillage and row-crop operations. Farmers appreciated its heavy chassis, hydraulic capabilities and ability to handle larger implements than many earlier models. Narrow-front configurations reflected the continued importance of cultivating crops planted in rows. Today, the 856 is remembered as a capable tractor from International Harvester’s expanding high-horsepower era.
