Developed as a high-horsepower agricultural tractor, the G-1355 represented an important expansion of Oliver's large tractor lineup. It was closely related to the Minneapolis-Moline G1355 and utilized a powerful 585-cubic-inch, six-cylinder diesel engine producing approximately 135 PTO horsepower. This substantial engine displacement provided the torque needed for demanding agricultural operations, including deep plowing, heavy disking, cultivating, and pulling large planting equipment. The G-1355 featured a heavy-duty drivetrain and substantial chassis designed to handle the increased power requirements of larger farms. Its impressive size and distinctive styling made it stand out from smaller Oliver tractors of the period. The model also reflected the growing integration of Oliver and Minneapolis-Moline engineering following their acquisition by White Motor Corporation.
