The John Deere 2020 was manufactured from 1965 into the early 1970s and was offered in gasoline and diesel configurations. Diesel versions used a four-cylinder engine of approximately 180 cubic inches, producing around 50 PTO horsepower depending on configuration and testing. Farmers relied on the 2020 for haying, loader work, mowing, cultivating and hauling wagons. Its utility-sized frame and available hydraulic equipment made it suitable for varied jobs around a farm. The wide-front arrangement offered stability and versatility for general-purpose agricultural work.
