Distinctive black stripe styling
Narrow front configuration
Classic IH 66 Series design
Ideal for vintage tractor displays and farm toy collections
International Harvester introduced its 66 Series tractors in the early 1970s, bringing updated styling and dependable power to farms across North America. The IH 966 was produced from 1971 through 1976 and was designed for a wide range of agricultural tasks, including tillage, planting, cultivating, and pulling implements. It used a six-cylinder diesel engine and was rated at approximately 95 PTO horsepower, giving farmers the capability to handle demanding fieldwork. The distinctive black stripe became a familiar feature of these tractors, while narrow front configurations appealed to farmers who preferred that traditional setup for certain row-crop operations. Today, the 966 remains a popular classic among International Harvester enthusiasts.
