Celebrate one of International Harvester's most recognizable demonstration tractors with this 1/16 1456 Wheatland Gold Demonstrator from Ertl's Prestige Collection. The Wheatland configuration gives this large tractor a broad, purposeful stance, while its special Gold Demonstrator identity makes it particularly eye-catching beside traditional red IH models. The detailed 1456 silhouette, high-horsepower styling, and collector-oriented Prestige release make this a distinctive addition to a serious farm toy display.
International Harvester produced the 1456 from 1969 through 1971, using a turbocharged six-cylinder diesel engine to deliver power for large-scale fieldwork. Wheatland tractors were designed for broad-acre applications, often with different front-end and platform arrangements than row-crop versions. The famous Gold Demonstrator program highlighted IH tractors during a promotional period and became a lasting favorite among collectors. A 1456 could pull substantial tillage equipment, helping farmers cover more ground during planting and soil preparation.
