International Harvester celebrated a major manufacturing milestone on February 1, 1974, when its five-millionth tractor rolled off the assembly line at the Farmall plant. The commemorative machine was a specially equipped Farmall 1066, featuring unique hand-applied paintwork, special pinstriping, and chrome details. The 1066 was part of IH's renowned 66 Series, produced from 1971 through 1976, and was powered by a turbocharged diesel engine designed for demanding agricultural work. The model's "Stray Horse" identity represents the customized world of competitive tractor pulling, where tractors are extensively modified for track performance. This collectible brings together IH heritage and the distinctive character of pulling competition.
